Project PRoProf - Optimising personnel development & recruiting for professorships

As part of the programme, the federal and state governments are funding the development and implementation of university- and location-specific concepts for new ways of recruiting and qualifying young professors at universities of applied sciences (UAS) and universities of applied sciences (UAS).

Two sub-projects - one goal

Within the PRoProf project, the two sub-areas of Qualification and Recruiting & Employer Branding are closely interlinked in order to optimise personnel development and the promotion of young talent as well as personnel marketing for professorships at Ostfalia.

The two areas work together to develop concepts and measuresto make the HAW professorship career path more visible and tangible and, on the other hand, to promote young professors at HAW and show them options for successfully pursuing the HAW professorship career path.

  • Qualification sub-project:
    • Development and testing of cooperative qualification models for the development of junior professors (tandem model)
    • Promotion of young academics at HAWs through the establishment of a Lower Saxony-wide cooperation platform (cooperative doctorate)
  • Recruiting & Employer Branding sub-project:
    • Increasing the visibility and attractiveness of Ostfalia as an employer for professors
    • Information and image campaign as well as events on the career profile of the HAW professorship
